Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Cardiac Telemetry Duration: 14 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Cardiac Telemetry License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS required Must-Have: Experience managing continuous IV medications, including cardiac drips such as Amiodarone, Cardizem, Dobutamine, Dopamine, Milrinone, and Nitroglycerin. Knowledge of diuretics such as Bumex and Lasix, anticoagulants including Aggrastat, Argatroban, and Heparin, as well as insulin drips. Basic arrhythmia knowledge and hemodynamic monitoring are essential. Description: This position requires managing patients in a cardiac telemetry environment. Candidates should have experience with adult to geriatric patient populations. Common diagnoses include cardiac arrhythmias, CHF, chest pain, and other pulmonary issues. Nursing responsibilities will include arrhythmia management, cardioversion, and care for surgical patients. There may be overflow from IMCU, and knowledge of TR bands is necessary. The patient-to-nurse ratio is typically 1:5-6. Floating within the facility may be required as needed. Travelers are usually expected to work major holidays. Comprehensive compliance requirements must be met to ensure timely onboarding.
