Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated healthcare professional for a day shift position involving 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30. This role is located at a beautiful campus renowned for its camaraderie and engaging staff activities such as book clubs and group dinners.

Contract Details

• Contract Length: 13 or 26 weeks
• Flexible on holiday requests: Up to 2 major holidays off can be accommodated.
• 1 of 3 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas/Eve, New Year's Eve) is required to be worked.

Experience and Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience required.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Epic experience is required.
• Certifications Required:
  
  
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
  • FHM (Family Health Management)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • AWHONN Intermediate (Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - preferred

Patient Care Details

The successful candidate will manage a variety of patient diagnoses, including labor and preterm labor. The unit features 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms, and responsibilities will include:

• Circulation in OB-GYN procedures
• Post-Operative and Pre-Operative care
• Scrubbing for surgeries
• Providing low-risk antepartum and labor & delivery care
• Administering blood and blood products
• Utilizing special procedures such as Cardiac Defibrillation and blood product administration

Technology and Equipment

This position will require familiarity with various medical equipment and technology:

• Epidural pumps
• PCA pumps (Patient Controlled Analgesia)
• Syringe pumps
• Wound vacs, Heparin, Insulin, and Magnesium Sulfate management
• Attending all deliveries including high-risk cases

Unit and Staffing Information

The staffing ratio is approximately 1:1 to 1:3, based on patient acuity. Floating to the Post-Partum unit may be required, as well as possible floating to nearby facilities.

Location

This opportunity is located in a vibrant city within the state of Washington.

Additional Information

Travelers in this role may be expected to float between sister facilities based on the needs of the unit. Refusal to float may result in the termination of the assignment. Communication devices will be provided as needed to perform duties effectively.
