Job Title: HR Generalist

Assignment Type: Contract – 3+ Months, with potential to extend based on business needs and performance

Pay: $40–$46 per hour

Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM in office everyday

About The Company:

Our client is an established manufacturing organization seeking an experienced HR professional to provide hands-on support during a temporary staffing need. This is an excellent opportunity for an HR Generalist who is comfortable stepping into an active HR environment and immediately taking ownership of essential day-to-day functions.

Job Description:

The HR Generalist will provide operational HR support across payroll, benefits, employee records, HRIS administration, and general employee services. The ideal candidate will be able to quickly step into the role and independently execute established HR processes.

This position is highly focused on hands-on HR execution and requires experience in a manufacturing environment and direct payroll processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process recurring payroll cycles using an HR/payroll system, with direct experience personally running payroll
• Assist employees with benefits-related questions and administrative needs
• Coordinate and maintain FMLA documentation and related employee records
• Support 401(k) administration and other employee benefit processes
• Maintain accurate personnel files and HRIS information
• Complete routine HR transactions and employee updates
• Assist with compliance requirements and implementation of established HR policies
• Provide day-to-day administrative support across the HR function
• Partner with internal leadership and employees to resolve routine HR-related questions
• Ensure HR processes and documentation remain accurate, organized, and up to date

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Manager capacity
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is required
• Direct, hands-on payroll processing experience is required
• Experience administering benefits, FMLA, and 401(k) programs
• Strong understanding of HRIS administration and employee record maintenance
• ADP Workforce Now experience is preferred; experience with another HRIS will also be considered
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• College coursework, degree, or HR-related certifications are a plus
• Ability to work independently and quickly take ownership of established HR processes
• Union environment experience is helpful but not required

• This is a hands-on HR operations position with an immediate need for someone who can contribute quickly
• Candidates should be comfortable working independently with sensitive employee and payroll information
