Residential Counselor I/II - Second Street - 4pm-12am

Position Summary Residential Counselors facilitate and work with consumers on a variety of activities of daily living (ADLs) needed for consumers to become more self‑sufficient and move toward recovery. Additionally, they will facilitate group therapy, manage intakes/discharges, monitor medications, create a safe environment for the consumers, help coordinate treatment, and advocate for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Key Responsibilities Provide individual psychotherapy to support and provide insight to consumers. Facilitate group therapy sessions within the house. Coordinate clinical care with case management services and external services. Assess consumers throughout the day and provide appropriate interventions. Encourage, support, and train consumers in activities of daily living (ADLs). Assist with the treatment and continuity of clinical care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Complete intake and discharge tasks for residents. Maintain household safety related to cooking, cleaning, laundry, and other chores. Document all significant consumer interactions and clinical data (daily log, consumer record, medication records). Respond to emergencies and coordinate assistance when needed. Advocate for acceptance of individuals with mental illness within the community. Maintain a trauma‑informed environment of wellbeing. Attend scheduled team meetings and perform other duties as assigned. Compensation and Benefits RCI: $27.79/hr RCII: $30.12/hr Language Differential: $1–$2.50/hr Benefits: The posted range represents the full hiring range. Offers will not exceed this range; the majority of candidates are placed near the midpoint based on experience and qualifications. Requirements & Qualifications Qualifications are set under Chapter 7 of the Residential Care Facilities - Mentally Ill requirements. Shift work and/or weekend work is required. Education RCI: Pursuing Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field; or seeking Certified Nurse’s Aid (C.N.A.) or Home Health Aid (HHA) certification preferred. RCII: Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, human services, or related field. Experience One year of mental‑health experience or related field preferred. Must be 21 years of age. Certifications QMAP (Qualified Medication Administration Person) CPR & First Aid Class "S" driver's license required for certain programs. Work Location 200S. Sherman Street, Denver, CO80209. Shift / Hours Monday – Friday, 4:00pm – 12:00am. Physical Requirements Requires sitting, standing, bending, lifting, climbing stairs, and quick responses to emergencies.
