Medical Assistant Certified - USFTGP Neurology

Job Description Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines, providing clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming, assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, and obtaining referral notes, images, and lab results prior to patient visits. Responsibilities Provide clinical and clerical support, including patient rooming and assistance with medical procedures. Clean and maintain medical equipment and prepare charts for patient visits. Obtain referral notes, images, and lab results prior to patient visits. Qualifications Required Skills : High School Diploma or GED. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, MA-ARMA, or Basic Life Support. Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting. Technical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures. Skill in drawing blood for laboratory testing and ensuring proper specimen handling. Competency in using electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and retrieval of patient information. Proficiency in performing clinical tasks, including patient rooming, and ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment. Ability to prepare for and assist with medical procedures. Ability to perform various clerical duties essential to the operations of the practice, including answering phones professionally, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning documents.
