2-Month Contract | 100% Remote We are seeking an experienced Interim Leave Specialist to take full ownership of our leave administration function for a 2-month, fully remote assignment. Hit the ground running on day one to independently manage active FMLA, state leave compliance, disability claims, and end-to-end ADA interactive processes. You will serve as our primary leave expert—analyzing multi-law intersections, maintaining audit-ready documentation, and guiding remote employees and managers with confidence.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of dedicated, employer-side leave and accommodations experience.
• Deep, working fluency in FMLA, state paid/unpaid leaves, STD/LTD, and ADAAA interactive dialogues.
• Proven ability to manage a complex leave portfolio remotely with minimal supervision.
• Full availability for an immediate 3-month contract.

Responsibilities

• Turnkey Leave Management: Independently administer the full lifecycle of all leave requests (FMLA, state-mandated paid/unpaid leaves, personal leaves, military leaves, and disability claims) from initial intake and eligibility determination through return-to-work or separation.

• Complex Multi-Law Intersection Analysis: Analyze and navigate the complex interactions between concurrent leave laws—evaluating how FMLA, ADA, state leave statutes (e.g., CA CFRA/PFL, NY PFL, WA PFML), worker’s compensation, and internal PTO/disability policies overlap to ensure compliant execution and accurate pay integration.
