Surgery - General Physician

Facility in Dickinson, ND is looking for 1 General Surgery Locum to cover the below dates. MUST be able to cover urgent July dates.

Orientation and onboarding day before first shift

• 10/19(7a)-10/28(7a)
• 11/9(7a)-11/16(7a)
• 11/24(7a)-12/1(7a)
• 12/17(7a)-12/29(7a)

Q&A:

• Will this be a pure call coverage or will they need to do Clinic and Call? How may days per month do they need coverage for? 10 days of call coverage

• If there is clinic what are the clinic hours and surgery days? - Monday 8-5 Clinic; Tuesday - Surgery - Clinic hours after surgery depending on the surgery schedule; Wednesday 8-5 Clinic; Thursday - Surgery - Clinic hours after surgery depending on the surgery schedule; Friday 8-2 Clinic.

• Bed count: 25
• Surgery: Scheduled M-F. Emergent: 7 days/week 24/7
• Call: 24/7/365

• Call response time: 20 mins

• Average daily census: 15
• Average number GS patients per 24 hrs of call: 0-5

Additional information from client:

• GS needs to be available for phone consults, admissions and rounding on GS patients-only

• Agency physician will not supervise any APP

• Anesthesia coverage is provided by CRNA group

• Board Certified: BC Highly Preferred . BE within 3 years of US residency training Required .
• Certifications: ATLS, PALS, DEA Required
• License: ND HIGHLY PREFERRED Will look at candidates who are also IMLC
• Credentialing: Temporary privileges are available.
• Prefer clean files. Will not accept any physicians actively on monitoring agreements. Also will not accept anyone with revoked license or privileges. If a candidate has incidents of malpractice and/or legal proceedings, PLEASE, PLEASE include a brief narrative that has the dates, settlement amount, disposition status, where it occurred; this will avoid any delays in our review process.

• A Self-Query NPDB report is mandatory at the time of presentation. The Self-Query NPDB report must be dated within 30 days of the presentation date. - REQUIRED
