Legal Administrative Assistant - Contractor

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (40 Hours/Week)

Job Type: Contract (Approximately 3 Months)

Pay Rate - $32-36 per hour

Our client is a well-established regional law firm seeking an experienced Legal Administrative Assistant to support a busy Commercial Litigation practice. This is a full-time contract opportunity for an experienced legal professional who can step in quickly and provide high-quality administrative support in a fast-paced legal environment. The assignment is expected to last approximately three months while covering a leave of absence.

Qualifications/Requirements:

·3+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant or Legal Secretary.

· Experience supporting multiple attorneys in a law firm environment.

· Commercial Litigation and/or Insurance Defense experience strongly preferred.

· Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal document management systems.

· Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Must be able to work onsite Monday through Friday.

· Experience in a mid-sized or large law firm preferred.

Responsibilities:

· Provide administrative and secretarial support to multiple litigation attorneys.

· Draft, proofread, and format legal documents, pleadings, correspondence, and reports.

· Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.

· Manage attorney calendars, including scheduling hearings, depositions, mediations, client meetings, and conference calls.

· Communicate professionally with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and outside vendors.

· Prepare attorney time entries, billing support, and expense reports.

· Assist with filing, scanning, electronic document management, and general office administration.

· Coordinate meetings, travel arrangements, and other administrative activities as needed.

· Support attorneys with legal and administrative projects while helping ensure the efficient day-to-day operation of the practice.
