Work Location: Covington, Georgia
Pay Rate: $16.50/hour
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–5:30 PM

Job Summary

We are seeking dependable and hardworking Distribution Associates for a receiving and distribution operation in Covington, Georgia.

This is a hands-on, manual labor position. Associates will spend a significant portion of the shift standing inside trailers, manually unloading incoming products, moving materials, and stacking pallets.

Candidates should be comfortable performing physically demanding work for extended periods. Previous forklift/material handling equipment experience is strongly preferred, but this is not a forklift-only position.

Important Work Environment

This facility is NOT climate controlled. Employees will be exposed to hot or cold temperatures depending on the time of year and will be required to work inside trailers and potentially outdoors while handling and stacking pallets.

Key Responsibilities

• Manually unload incoming trailers and move received products.

• Stand and work inside trailers for extended periods.

• Stack, organize, and palletize incoming products.

• Process orders using RF scanner technology.

• Scan barcodes, pick cases, and label boxes as required.

• Scan, retrieve, and place completed orders onto pallets.

• Verify product and order accuracy.

• Prepare products and materials for proper handling and shipment.

• Scan completed pallets and operate shrink-wrapping equipment as needed.

• Perform dock and manifest responsibilities when assigned.

• Operate Material Handling Equipment (MHE) when required.

• Assist in other warehouse/distribution areas as needed.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

• Follow all company safety and operational procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• At least 1 year of relevant warehouse, receiving, distribution, or manual labor experience preferred.

• Forklift experience strongly preferred.

• Previous Material Handling Equipment (MHE) experience preferred.

• Ability to obtain electric pallet jack certification.

• Experience using an RF scanner preferred.

• General knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations.

• Ability to read and understand distribution documents.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Dependable attendance and ability to work the complete scheduled shift.

Physical Requirements

Candidates must be comfortable with a physically demanding position that includes:

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Working inside trailers while unloading products.
• Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, twisting, pushing, and pulling.
• Stooping, crouching, kneeling, and repetitive movement.
• Lifting 50+ pounds in certain areas.
• Moving and stacking products and pallets.
• Safely working around forklifts and other moving equipment.

Work Environment

This position operates within an active receiving and distribution environment in Covington, Georgia. Noise levels may range from moderate to loud, and employees will regularly work around moving mechanical and material-handling equipment.

The facility is not climate controlled. Candidates must be prepared to work in changing temperatures, including very hot or cold conditions, particularly while working inside trailers or loading areas.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has a combination of manual labor, receiving, warehouse, and forklift experience and understands that the primary responsibility of this position is physically unloading and handling products.

This is NOT a straight forklift position. Candidates must be willing and able to perform manual labor throughout the shift.
