A school district in Illinois is seeking a full-time Special Education Teacher (SPED Teacher) for a middle school co-teaching and instructional role.

Assignment Dates:

• ASAP – 5/22/2026

Schedule:

• 37.5 hours per week
• Approximately 7:45 AM – 3:45 PM

Position Overview:

• Middle school co-teaching and instructional classroom support
• Provide direct instruction in special education settings
• Support student academic, behavioral, and IEP goal progress
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and documentation

Caseload / Details:

• Middle school SPED students in a co-teaching and instructional setting
• Specific caseload details to be determined by district placement

Requirements:

• Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)
• LBS1 (Learning Behavior Specialist I) endorsement required
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field (required for licensure)
• School-based special education experience preferred
