Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Registered Nurse Orthopedic/Neuro Trauma

Shift: 12-hour nights

Weekend requirement: Assigned every other weekend

Daily census: ~32

Target ratios: 1:5-6

Requirements:

• RN with a minimum of 2 years clinical experience in the last 5 years
• Active RN license (NC or compact pending acceptable for submittal)
• BLS certification
• EPIC documentation experience required
• Skills: Heparin drips, PCA, blood product administration, central/PICC/peripheral line care, IV starts, phlebotomy, wound care, chest tubes, surgical drains, colostomy care, feeding tubes

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care and interventions
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient management
• Monitor patient status and report changes to the healthcare team
• Document patient data and care plans accurately in the electronic medical record

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation: 12-hour unit orientation + 16 hours organizational education
• Up to 7 days RTO auto-approved for offers (no holidays); no RTO during the first week; must work 2 of 3 major holidays
• Must pass EKG testing prior to starting for this specialty
• Flu vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions only)
• Completion of lab/testing within 48 hours after signing is required
• Pre-start modules must be completed per facility policy
