Simulation Software Engineer - Training Systems

Salary: $126,650 - 171,350 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree or equivalent.
• We require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which in turn requires U.S. citizenship.
• We require at least 5 years of experience developing and debugging software in high-level programming languages such as C or C++.
• We require at least 2 years of experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, as well as containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• For Level 3 consideration, we prefer a bachelors degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science, plus 5+ years of related experience; or a bachelors degree plus 9+ years of directly related experience; or 13+ years of related, relevant experience.
• We prefer 3+ years of experience with release tools, configuration management, monitoring, virtualization, and containerization.
• We prefer 1+ years of experience developing artificial intelligence software.
• We require the ability to complete a technical assessment as part of the selection process.
• We require that successful candidates satisfy our Conflict of Interest assessment process.
• We require compliance with our export control requirements, including U.S. Person status.
• We require the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, with an interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start.

• We design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualization tools, virtual environments and platforms, and supporting frameworks to improve test performance, safety, and durability across the product lifecycle.
• We partner with stakeholders to define simulation needs and the behavior of the systems being modeled.
• We perform design, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to evaluate and improve system performance and capability.
• We collect and process data for use in simulation environments.
• We validate, verify, and refine simulation code, models, test procedures, and test environments, and we run tests and document results against real-world or benchmark data.
• We document and maintain technical code, algorithms, specifications, and simulation model descriptions.
• We work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation software with devices and systems.
• We implement current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods within the software engineering simulation environment.
• We modernize, migrate, sustain, and update simulation software to move legacy systems to new platforms.
• We carry out simulation software project management activities.
