Director of Catering

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Catering to lead our catering operations in Arlington, VA. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning, client relations, and team leadership within the hospitality or food service industry. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills and a passion for delivering exceptional catering experiences. Responsibilities Oversee all catering operations, ensuring high-quality service and client satisfaction. Develop and implement catering strategies to drive revenue growth and market presence. Manage and train catering staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient team environment. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal departments. Coordinate with culinary and event teams to ensure seamless execution of events. Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reports related to catering services. Negotiate contracts and pricing with clients and suppliers. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Stay current with industry trends and incorporate innovative ideas into catering offerings. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred. Minimum of 5 years experience in catering management or a similar role. Proven leadership and team management skills. Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
