Job Summary:
Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse in Lafayette, Colorado. This position involves performing independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions in accordance with accepted practice standards as defined by the state Board of Nursing. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the labor and delivery department, providing supportive and restorative therapy and treatment to ensure patient well-being.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. The schedule requires working 10 weekend shifts within an 8-week period (including Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights). On-call shifts required: 1-3 shifts within each 8-week period.
• Required Qualifications: 1+ years of experience, ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, current RN license in the state of practice, BLS (AHA) certification, NRP certification, and AWHONN or C-EFM certification.
• Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Nursing, additional certifications relevant to labor and delivery.
• Additional Information: The RN may be required to float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on operational needs. Flexibility for being placed on-call during scheduled shifts is also required. The position involves duties related to health assessment, health teaching, counseling, delegation, supervision, documentation, and therapy and treatment execution.
