Project Manager

This role in summary Whirlpool is seeking a Project Manager/Leader for its Mount Pleasant, WI office. The role involves leading cross‑functional teams to deliver product development projects, applying Whirlpool Product Development (WPD) methodology and Project Management disciplines to ensure speed, quality, and efficiency while maintaining flexibility for consumer and business needs. Your responsibilities will include Planning and executing projects using the WPD, PDP, and ADP processes, managing all project knowledge areas, including integration, scope, time, cost, quality, resources, communications, risks, procurements, and stakeholder management. Leading local and global teams from concept through final implementation and release, facilitating weekly core team meetings, one‑on‑ones, and other communication forums. Serving as a subject‑matter expert on WPD processes and tools, and driving continuous improvement. Identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks and providing risk‑based plans. Managing change requests, guiding the team through impact analysis and go/no‑go decisions. Engaging stakeholders, registering expectations, and reporting project performance while collecting and managing requirements. Maintaining data across systems to support project health tracking and reporting. Tracking, maintaining, and reporting project expenses and capital calendar for budgeting. Coordinating Bill of Materials (BOM) and prototype build execution support. Monitoring parts development and production readiness, coordinating cross‑functional groups. Gathering, organizing, and communicating project data, KPIs, and presentations for meetings and integration events. Substituting for the Project Leader when necessary. Developing and monitoring project master schedules and follow‑up with team members. Maintaining the action register and reporting status of action items. Contributing to the Project Leadership Office (PLO) function objectives and embedding new processes at InSinkErator (ISE). Participating in initiatives for the new PLO, including change management, education, training, tool customization, and selection of a centralized project management tool. Traveling to key manufacturing or supplier sites as required. Minimum requirements Bachelor’s degree. At least 2 years of project management experience managing scope, timeline, budget, quality, stakeholder communications, and risk. Preferred skills and experiences Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Minimum 2 years of product development experience, preferably in the consumer/durable goods sector. Experience with project management software/platforms and data analytics for project health KPI reporting. Proven leadership in influencing cross‑functional teams to achieve challenging project outcomes and manage stakeholders.
