Retail Sales Associate – Cox Communications Job Type: Individual Contributor, Retail Sales Associate Overview Cox Communications is looking for a Retail Sales Associate to create exceptional customer experiences at our retail store. The role involves connecting with customers, driving sales, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do Explain and demonstrate product capabilities and offer suggestions based on customer wants and needs Meet or exceed targets regarding customer experience, sales, and retention Assist with opening and closing of the retail environment Properly handle cash transactions Engage in workshops, special events, and product demos Support fellow sales agents when needed Continuously expand knowledge of current Cox products and competitor offerings through regular training May be required to work in other locations within the same geographical area Compensation & Benefits Hourly base pay ranges from $16.83 to $25.19, with potential annual incentive/commission target of $17,652.00. Total compensation may reach $55,487 (average $26.68/hr) and top 10% earn over $72,700 (average $34.99/hr). Qualifications Minimum: HS diploma/GED or up to 2 years of relevant work experience Ability to meet established sales, retention, and customer experience targets Strong interpersonal and communication skills for a consultative, solutions-based approach Ability to build relationships with a diverse customer base Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast‑paced team environment Physical ability to be mobile within the store for long periods and handle lifting 25-50 pounds Computer literacy and aptitude for learning communication products and services Willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays Preferred: Some college experience focusing on sales, business, or management One year of related field experience (sales, retail sales, service industry) Experience selling wireless/mobile products Benefits Employees receive a minimum of sixteen hours of paid time off each month, seven paid holidays per year, and additional PTO such as bereavement, jury duty, volunteer time, military leave, and parental leave.
