Practice Manager - Cornea

Role Description The Practice Manager - Cornea is a full-time, on-site role based in Boston, MA, responsible for overseeing daily operations of the cornea service practice. This role manages clinical and administrative workflows, including patient scheduling, front desk operations, and coordination of medical and surgical services to support high-quality, efficient patient care. The Practice Manager supervises and develops team members, ensuring strong customer service, adherence to policies and procedures, and effective communication across clinicians, staff, and patients. Responsibilities include monitoring performance metrics, supporting revenue and access goals, implementing training and process improvements, and resolving operational issues in collaboration with clinical leadership. The Practice Manager also contributes to strategic initiatives, helps drive patient satisfaction, and maintains a safe and compliant practice environment. Qualifications Demonstrated strength in Customer Service and patient-facing communication to support a positive and inclusive care experience. Understanding of Medicine, clinical workflows, and ambulatory practice operations sufficient to collaborate effectively with clinical teams. Team Leadership experience, including supervising staff, coaching performance, and fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment. Background in Sales or practice growth, such as promoting services, improving patient access, and supporting volume and revenue goals. Experience in Training, including onboarding new team members and implementing ongoing education on processes, systems, and policies. Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field; equivalent experience in a medical practice setting may be considered. Proficiency with electronic health records and practice management systems, plus strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
