Senior Director of Operations

Seeking a Senior Director of Operations to centralize, strategize, and lead our Carrier Sales and Carrier Compliance divisions. This executive will unify five operational leaders, standardize processes, execute enterprise initiatives, and scale brokerage capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Centralization & Strategy: Transition from a decentralized model to a centralized Carrier Sales division. Develop procurement strategies to grow capacity, protect margins, and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs) for pricing and freight matching.

• Leadership: Lead, mentor, and align five operational leaders. Set unified KPIs, establish accountability, and remove operational bottlenecks across teams.

• Compliance & Risk Management: Oversee Carrier Compliance, ensuring adherence to FMCSA safety standards, insurance verification, and fraud prevention. Act as the final escalation point for claims and complex regulatory issues.

• Process Improvement: Drive technology integrations (TMS upgrades, automation, matching algorithms) and use market data to continuously refine operational efficiency and strategy.

Qualifications

• 10–15+ years of operational experience in 3PL, logistics, or freight brokerage.

• 5+ years in senior leadership managing subordinate managers or directors.

• Proven track record in operational centralization and change management.

• Deep domain expertise in full-truckload (FTL) and freight brokerage operations.
