Job Title: Level 2 Registered Nurse Med Surg Float Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Surg RN Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Shifts (Days, Evenings, Nights) Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License (New York ONLY) Certifications: BLS (American Heart Association ONLY) Must-Have: Telemetry Experience Required Description: Through clinical practice, service excellence, professional development, and research and evidence-based practice, the Level 2 Registered Nurse is accountable for the provision of competent care based on established standards. The Level 2 Registered Nurse assumes an expanded role, which may include charge nurse, preceptor, and committee member responsibilities. Schedule requires rotating shifts, with every other weekend and holiday/on-call/callback/charge per unit needs. Straight shift schedules are not available. Telemetry experience is required for this position. Only New York RN licenses will be accepted. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
