We are more than products, we are a team of inspired people doing extraordinary things.2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2:30pm-10:30pmEssential Job DutiesPerform the following with limited supervision:Review and interpret shop floor paperwork prior to assemblyRead and follow drawings, SOPs, blueprints, and/or weld specificationsSet up and operate equipment effectively and safelyMaintain consistent quality technique in welding operator level jots and fit ups on multiple material types and using multiple welding applicationsCorrect for excessive weld spatter and repair cosmetic defectsCorrect porosity within weldsPerform operator-level cleaning and maintenance for their assigned areaConform to all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipmentWear the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) for the positionSupport daily and monthly production goals and targetsUtilize SOPs and Standard Work Instructions to complete workContribute to safety and process improvement initiativesLearn SAP/ MII / MES ProcessesDemonstrate reliability and ownership of assigned processesIdentify work to be performed via SAP or MII work center priorityPerform physical material movementsMaintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S and lean initiativesCross-train within departmentDemonstrate a willingness to be flexible in areas they are cross-trained inHelp train new production team members as assignedPerform other duties as assignedQualificationsHS Diploma or GED preferred12+ months prior manufacturing experience preferredMust be a minimum of 18 years oldAbility to pass welding test on material in useAbility to distinguish the various thickness and types of materialsEffective verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and time management skillsStrong attention to detailHigh focus on quality and safetyProficient math, reading, and computer skillsProficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and drawingsDemonstrates proficiency in understanding and correcting the seven variables of weldingExperience reading measuring devicesIntermediate skills in use basic, pneumatic, and power toolsAbility to safely operate equipment, which may include material movement equipment such as overhead lifting devices, forklifts, etc.Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check, if offered employmentCompensation & BenefitsGreenheck Group takes pride in providing competitive pay along with a comprehensive benefits package as part of our total rewards program. Minimum starting rate of $25.97/hour, with regular increases reaching $28.66/hour. An additional shift premium of $2.00/hour applies for 2nd shift. Personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety toed footwear required. Additional PPE may be required based upon work. This is a safety-sensitive position, and impairment while performing the tasks or duties of this role could pose a health and safety risk to both the individual performing the tasks as well as those around them.
