  • Coordinate Medicare certifications; assist with pre-admission screening; coordinate Medicare “denial” letters; coordinate MDS schedule with other disciplines; coordinate Medicare charting schedule; assist with policy/procedure implementation impacting Medicare coverage.
  • Monitor overall nursing department operations with enthusiasm. Ensure residents’ environment is safe, secure and dignified.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability, integrity, creativity and strong communication skills. Exhibit tact and good judgment interacting with physicians, residents, families, visitors, management and staff.
  • Possess or be willing to acquire basic computer skills. Be familiar with all departments’ policies/regulations/procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with others; maintain harmonious relationships with the health care team. Be knowledgeable of standards of care including restorative care, comprehensive assessments and care plan development.
  • Be available (or as a designated designee) at all times for emergencies. Foster organizational loyalty, punctuality, dependability; follow instructions, meet deadlines. Abide by and ensure compliance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Perform other duties as directed by the DON.
