Human Resources & People Operations Generalist

BlueAlly is looking for a dynamic, people-focused HR & People Operations Generalist to join our rapidly growing team. This role is a trusted partner across the employee lifecycle and benefits, while also owning the systems and data that keep critical function running smoothly.

The right individual for this role will bring a strategic lens to day-to-day work, operate quickly with tenacity and compassion, take full ownership of their work, and read people and situations well. Strong tact, emotional intelligence, and social awareness are essential as this role regularly involves sensitive, high-trust conversations with employees at every level.

Responsibilities

HR Systems & Analytics

• Own and maintain accurate employee data in our HRIS (ADP Workforce Now); regularly audit records to catch and resolve discrepancies before they become problems.
• Generate HR reports and analytics (employee turnover, headcount, demographics, engagement) and translate the numbers into insights the HR Team & leadership can act on.
• Support system configuration, enhancements, and troubleshooting; partner with IT, Finance, Accounting and vendors to resolve issues quickly.
• Proactively identify opportunities to automate or streamline HR workflows and drive those improvements from end to end.

Employee Benefits

• Support & lead benefits and 401(k) enrollment, changes, and open enrollment logistics.
• Serve as the go-to resource for employees navigating benefits questions.

Compliance

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready HR compliance documentation.
• Stay current on federal, state, and local employment law; flag policy or process gaps before they become risks.

Cross-Functional & Strategic

• Support the broader HR team, ready to support in all areas of the function from supporting the overall employee lifecycle, people success, and other HR/People initiatives
• Act as a liaison between HR, Accounting, Finance, IT, and business leaders on people-related initiatives.
• Bring a solutions mindset to ambiguous problems
• Take on other HR-related projects as they arise, with the flexibility to shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in HR, Psychology, Business, or related field — or equivalent work experience.
• SHRM or other HR certification(s) a strong plus

Knowledge & Experience

• Experience with core HR functions including benefits, compliance, and employee experience.
• 2–3+ years' experience in HR generalist, coordination, or administrative support roles.
• Administrator level ADP Workforce Now experience required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strategic experience connecting day-to-day tasks to the bigger picture; anticipating what is needed next, not just what is asked.
• Proven fast, reliable execution - thrives in a fast-paced environment and consistently meets deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
• Strong sense of ownership taking full accountability for outcomes in their area.
• High emotional intelligence and social awareness - reads people and situations accurately, and navigates sensitive conversations with tact, empathy, and compassion.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels of the organization.
• Solid grounding in HR principles, practices, and compliance fundamentals.
• Growth mindset – a continual learner genuinely passionate about the HR field.
• Track record of being a dedicated team player - having a team-focused mindset is vital to the role.
• Take on other tasks and responsibilities as needed to support the team and BlueAlly.

Work Conditions

• 40-hour week and availability during standard office hours
• Location: Hybrid with 1-2 days a week in Atlanta office
• Minimal travel may be expected
• Computer-based position, sitting for extended periods of time (leading/attending virtual meetings)
• Sufficient dexterity of hands and fingers to efficiently operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other computer components.
