Operations Support Specialist

Operations Support SpecialistCACI is seeking a skilled and motivated Operations Support Specialist to provide critical operations support for our globally deployed signal processing systems and their related applications. The ideal candidate will offer technical support for Linux, Cisco, and other proprietary systems. They will play a key role in managing the network connections during system deployments, troubleshooting when issues arise, and act as a point of contact during software maintenance and other events. This position requires networking expertise, strong communication skills, the ability to multi-task during high work volume times, and a knack for quickly diagnosing and resolving issues. The successful candidate will need a holistic understanding of both the individual components and the system as a whole to ensure that all parts work together efficiently and effectively. Note: This is NOT a teleworking role. Daily activities are onsite work only.Responsibilities:Deliver comprehensive support for global systems and associated applications across the programProvide technical assistance for Linux, Cisco, and various proprietary systemsSupport current and upcoming software migrations, including RHEL updatesContribute to the planning, execution, and troubleshooting of software release lifecycle processesAct as a liaison between technical and non-technical stakeholdersEngage in professional and inquisitive communication via phone, email, and chat platformsIdentify, report and communicate all known issues to the appropriate personnelProvide operational updates when necessary (daily/weekly/monthly reports)Effectively manage multiple tasks during periods of high workload; document issues via JSM, troubleshoot, and communicate efficientlyRapidly diagnose and either resolve or escalate issues based on their type and severityRecognize potential risks and create strategies to mitigate them, utilizing the Change Control Process, as necessaryTrain, educate, and mentor team members on troubleshooting and triaging complex systems engineering problemsEnsure all operational reporting is completed in accordance with service level agreements and program expectationsEfficiently manage and prioritize reported/discovered issues, escalate when necessary, and maintain a focus on system availabilityOccasional overtime and on-call support may be requiredQualifications: Required:Active Top Secret, with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI preferred)Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related fieldMinimum 5 years of related experienceSecurity+ certification, or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employmentDemonstrated experience with Linux, Cisco, and other proprietary systemsRobust understanding of network protocols, server administration, and storage solutionsExperience with computer networking devices (routers, switches, firewalls)Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with evolving prioritiesExceptional problem-solving and analytical skillsStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to train and mentor team membersDesired:Relevant certifications (such as CompTIA Linux+, Cisco CCNA, RHCE/RHCSA) are preferredKnowledge of programming languages and scriptingFamiliarity with containerization technologiesPrior Military service and/or experience working with Military Service groupsExperience with ticketing systems such as Remedy, Jira Service Management, Confluence, or ServiceNowExperience with SIGINT data processing/technologyHigh comfort level working with technology in a fast-paced environment- What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity. Pay Range : There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
