Location: New York, NY 10032
Duration: 13-Week Contract Assignment
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Shift: Day (5x8-Hour)
Total Hours: 40 Hours per Week
Pay Rate: $68 – $72 per hour (Local Candidates)

Position Overview

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist for a 13-week outpatient contract assignment in New York, NY. The MRI Technologist will perform high-quality magnetic resonance imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image accuracy, and compliance with regulatory and facility standards.

This is a weekday-only opportunity in an outpatient setting with no weekend requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures in accordance with physician orders and established imaging protocols.

• Prepare, screen, and position patients while ensuring comfort and safety.

• Administer contrast media in compliance with New York State regulations.

• Monitor patients during imaging procedures and respond appropriately to adverse reactions.

• Produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure accurate documentation.

• Operate and maintain MRI equipment and modality-specific software.

• Accurately document procedures within EMR, RIS, HIS, and PACS systems.

• Maintain compliance with infection control standards, HIPAA regulations, and facility policies.

• Participate in quality assurance and patient safety initiatives.

• Maintain required continuing education credits in accordance with ARRT guidelines.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Graduate of an accredited Radiography program.

• Active New York State Radiography License.

• New York State certification to administer contrast media.

• ARRT Certification in Radiography and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

• Minimum of 1 year of diagnostic imaging experience.

• Recent MRI experience required.

• Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality-specific software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume outpatient imaging centers.

• Strong patient communication and IV contrast administration skills.

• Experience working in academic or large healthcare systems.
