You will be collaborating with engineers, designers, and project managers to translate concepts into detailed 2D and 3D models, ensuring compliance with standards and maintaining high-quality drafting practices. Your work will play a key role in enabling efficient project delivery and supporting continuous improvement across design workflows.As a CAD Technician, you will be responsible for:Producing 2D and 3D technical drawings using CAD software such as SolidWorks and AutoCADDeveloping detailed layouts, views, and sections based on sketches, specifications, and engineering calculationsCreating and organizing installation instruction illustrationsRevising and updating drawings to reflect design changes and evolving project requirementsEnsuring all drawings comply with industry standards, codes, and internal drafting practicesMaintaining and updating drawing files, supporting documentation, and revision control within the document management systemCoordinating with engineers, designers, and project teams to resolve design or technical issuesPerforming additional drafting or documentation tasks based on workload and business needsTo be successful in this role you will:Have a diploma, certificate, or associate degree in CAD, drafting, engineering technology, or a related fieldHave proficiency in CAD software, with SolidWorks required and AutoCAD considered a plusHave a strong understanding of drafting standards, symbols, and technical conventionsHave the ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering conceptsHave high attention to detail and accuracy in all drafting workHave good communication and teamwork skillsPreferred:Have 1–5 years of experience in a CAD or drafting roleHave industry-specific experience in mechanical or manufacturing environmentsHave knowledge of document control processesHave experience with 3D modeling and visualizationWork in a way that works for youWe recognize that everyone is different and that the way in which people want to work and deliver at their best is different for everyone too.
