Welder PositionThis welder position is responsible for joining, fabricating, and repairing metal components using various welding techniques and equipment, while upholding safety standards, quality control, and project deadlines in both independent settings.ResponsibilitiesPrimary ResponsibilitiesFabricate and install complex custom production machinery based on blueprints, samples, or verbal instructionsPerform MIG, TIG, and stick welding with proficiency; welding certification is preferred but not requiredEnsure compliance with all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standardsSupport operational efficiency by working on assigned projects and assisting with training as neededJob DutiesRead and interpret blueprints; create jigs and fixtures for weldmentsMaintain and repair equipment per the Preventative Maintenance ProgramOperate welding equipment and tools such as MIG, TIG, stick welders, plasma torch, and cutting torchesUse metalworking machines including lathe, mill, and bandsawOperate forklifts, scissor lifts, man lifts, and overhead cranes safelyPerform tasks requiring standing, lifting (up to 50 lbs.), bending, and repetitive movements for extended periodsMust be able to pass a physical, drug test, and background checkAdhere to all HSE and quality procedures; utilize all required PPEAssist with On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new employees as neededCompetitive Benefits: (visit usbenefits.nov.com for more information about our benefits offerings)401(k) Retirement Plan – NOV matches every dollar up to 5% of base pay and overtime for every dollar you invest.Competitive medical plans that are effective your date of hire.
