Senior AccountantSoftware Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Senior Accountant for a contract assignment with one of our premier Hospitality clients in Orlando, FL. This role is 100% remote.SummaryThe Senior Accountant will be responsible for the timely compilation of financial information leading to the accurate preparation of the financial statements for assigned Club under the company umbrella. This includes, but is not limited to, posting of journal entries into the general ledger, handling payables (including checks and wire transfers), bank reconciliations, billing reconciliations, account analysis, audit schedules, budget reporting, and statistical accumulation. This reporting helps the Operational leaders ensure the financial health of the Clubs.Responsibilities:Prepare journal entries essential to building an accurate general ledgerReconcile all balance sheet accounts in accordance with departmental policyFacilitate wire transfers as appropriate related to the receivable and payables of club transactionsPrepare monthly reconciliations of corporate related party receivables and payablesAssist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and reporting packageAssist in the coordination of and preparation for financial audits as requiredAssist in the creation of budget reports and in preparation of annual budgetsMonitor banking activity to ensure funds are available to clear wires and checksAssist in driving annual departmental goalsDevelop process flows, identify process constraints and implement improvements to the departmentMay participate in planning/oversight of departmental, hospitality or company staff events.May support peers in development of understanding of timeshare industry.May support management in the development of Accountants in lower levelsRequired SkillsBachelor's degree in accountingExperience with EPM software3 to 5 years of experience working within a general ledger and supporting month end close and reporting, budgeting and forecasting.Excellent strategic, analytical and creative thinking aptitude in both an independent and team environment.Advanced understanding of GAAP accountingMust be a self-starter with the ability to work independently, be well organized, perform under stressful situations and communicative effectivelyKnowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook and AccessPreferred SkillsOracle Fusion experience preferredTimeshare experience preferredBy applying for a job with SGA, you agree to allow SGA to process your application for this and future opportunities in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
