Respiratory Therapist

Job Overview

Seeking a qualified Respiratory Therapist to provide exceptional care in various departments within a critical access hospital. This position involves working on a day shift schedule with the potential for holiday and weekend rotation.

Position Details

Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 13 weeks
Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (07:00 - 19:30)

Qualifications

Credential: Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
License: Valid Respiratory Therapist license in Iowa
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Responsibilities

Provide coverage in multiple departments, including:

Emergency Room
Outpatient EKG
Holter Monitors
6-Minute Stress Walks
Night Oximetry Setup
Acute Floor Patient Care:

Administer breathing treatments
Implement Incentive Spirometry
Utilize Metered-Dose Inhalers (MDI)
Conduct Chest Physiotherapy (CPT)

Manage emergency ventilation devices in use:

Philips EV300
Philips Trilogy 202
High Flow Delivery Devices
Air Vo Units

Location
