Editorial Coordinator

Working remotely while being based in the DMV area, the full-time Editorial Coordinator will manage submissions for 1-2 Deputy Editor groups, facilitate the peer review process, and ensure the quality of final galley proofs in a collaborative environment. Key responsibilities Serve as the direct point of contact for 1-2 Deputy Editor groups, processing new and revised submissions, accepted manuscripts, and appeals Handle general editorial queries related to assigned manuscripts and send outstanding reviewer reminders Attend staff meetings and contribute to writing cover captions, feature article blurbs, and social media posts Required qualifications Experience with project management and ability to meet deadlines Copyediting experience is a plus Strong working knowledge of MS Office and Adobe software Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Eagerness to develop new knowledge and skills related to job duties
