Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reports directly to the Restaurant Supervisor/Manager Requires dependable, punctual attendance and willingness to work flexible hours, holidays, and attend mandatory meetings when scheduled Provide prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all guests Interact with guests and co-workers in a friendly and professional manner Control restaurant occupancy flow and adjust as needed Assign tables, seat guests, distribute menus, and cater to large groups Make recommendations and answer menu-related inquiries Assist in making restaurant reservations Adhere to all Departmental SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) Adhere to all Company Policies and Health Department Regulations Ability to follow directions from Supervisor/Manager Strong organizational skills Perform all other duties as assigned The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position. Requirements Education and/or Experience High school diploma or equivalent One (1) year working in a restaurant environment preferred Age and Certifications 16 years of age or above Alcohol Awareness Card (if 21 years of age or older) Ability to obtain a Health Card if required Language Skills Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions in English Fluency in English required Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus Mathematical Skills Basic math skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense reasoning to a variety of situations Ability to understand and follow policies and standard operating procedures Proactive problem-solving skills Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
