As a Technical Product Manager at Pattern Labs, you will bridge the gap between complex AI technology and strategic business value. Operating with an entrepreneurial mindset, you will drive product innovation by turning cutting-edge AI capabilities into actionable, scalable marketplace solutions. This high-impact role empowers you to work closely with key stakeholders to reshape how global brands dominate e-commerce through intelligent systems.

What is a day in the life of a Technical Product Manager?

• Translate business goals and stakeholder needs into clear technical product requirements and systems architectures.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, data science, and AI research teams to design, build, and deploy AI-driven products.

• Continually explore, evaluate, and integrate emerging AI tools and workflows into the Pattern Labs ecosystem.

• Define and track key performance metrics to evaluate product performance and drive continuous optimization.

• Communicate complex technical concepts and AI roadmaps clearly to both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Strong technical background with a deep understanding of software systems, data architecture, and modern tech stacks.

• Proven experience in technical product management, successfully bridging business strategy and technical execution.

What does success look like in the first 30, 60, 90 days?

• 30 Days: Develop a comprehensive understanding of Pattern’s data architecture, current AI capabilities, and Pattern Labs' product roadmap; establish key working relationships with stakeholders and engineering leads.

• 60 Days: Take ownership of key technical product backlogs, refine existing specs, and actively lead sprint planning and feature scoping for upcoming AI initiatives.

• 90 Days: Successfully launch an AI-driven product feature or system enhancement; present a multi-quarter technical roadmap for Pattern Labs aligned with broader strategic business goals.

What is the team like?

This role reports directly to the Director of AI Research. You will be joining a growing team of AI researchers, data scientists, and engineers in the Pattern Labs department. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Data Scientists, and Senior Product Managers as well as other departments including Engineering, Executive Leadership, Strategy, and Operations. This position is mentored by the Director of AI Research & Development.

How can I stand out as an applicant?

• Strong Nice-to-Haves:

• Hands-on experience building or managing products utilizing Generative AI, LLMs, or agentic frameworks.

• Experience founding a startup, side project, or leading an entrepreneurial venture from 0 to 1.

• Experience with high-scale e-commerce marketplaces or data infrastructure systems.

• Interview Tips:
