Summary Performs a variety of basic accounting duties according to established credit union policies and procedures. Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required Minimum one year of accounting experience preferred Job Responsibilities Analyzes, reconciles, balances, and maintains accounting records in accordance with GAAP and other applicable laws and regulations Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger Resolves general ledger/operational issues with other departments as necessary Compiles financial data to assist more senior accountants in ensuring a timely and accurate monthly close of the general ledger Reconciles member financial activity systems to the general ledger Handles operational aspects of certain member financial transaction types Prepares ATM and ITM operational reconciliations on a daily and monthly cadence and provides manager with additional feedback as needed. Accurately and timely process return items and any other applicable transactions Assist in preparing various financial reports for management Utilize accounting system for reconciliations, document retention, and reporting Perform other duties as needed upon request by immediate supervisor Benefits of Joining the Teachers Team We provide a competitive compensation and benefits package that includes, but is not limited to: This position is eligible for our annual discretionary bonus program. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs. The salary may vary above and below the stated amounts, as permitted by applicable law.
