Job Description The top investor-owned energy company in the US provides a wide range of energy-related products and services to its variety of customers which include renters, residential owners, small and medium sized businesses, commercial, industrial, community affairs, and more. Looking for an Assistant Program Manager to join the Substation Operations & Planning team and ensure monitoring of all compliance related capital project work involving substation facilities and equipment. The Assistant Project Manager supports project planning, scheduling, reporting, and coordination activities to ensure accurate data management, effective communication, and successful execution of construction and outage-related projects. This role will maintain accurate project data across systems; manage sequencing, records, and outage reconciliation. Prepare and distribute project reports, dashboards, schedules, and outage updates. Support Project Managers through meeting participation, documentation, action-item tracking, and scheduling coordination. Manage project setup, phases, timelines, work orders, system administration, and close-out activities. Support financial controls, ensure PMO compliance, respond to inquiries, and recommend process improvements. This role works closely with Project Managers, Schedulers, and cross‑functional stakeholders to maintain schedules, track outages, and support project controls across multiple systems. Experience in the utility or energy industry. 3-5 years of experience supporting project planning, scheduling, or outage‑related projects. Experience with financial tasks such as cost controls, work order creation and tracking, and financial forecasting. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage data across multiple systems. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and task‑management applications. Excellent organizational, communication, and coordination skills.
