Primary responsibilities include individual, couples, and group therapy for all UCR registered students, with a focus on marginalized communities (first‑generation, Black/African American, Latinx, undocumented, Indigenous/First Nations, Asian American/Pacific Islander, multiracial, and other students of color). The role offers crisis intervention services; consults with students, staff, and faculty; serves as a supervisor for the APA accredited internship program; and participates on University committees representing the CAPS department. The psychologist may also serve as a liaison and outreach coordinator for various campus communities. Commitments to diversity, inclusion, and trauma‑informed practice are essential. Salary range: $102,439.14 – $149,480.75 annually (expected pay up to $140,833.97). Applicants must possess current work authorization; visa sponsorship is not provided. Requirements Educational Requirements Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology or related discipline. Conditions Maintain required continuing education for professional license and specialized training for supervising interns. Focused study on Diversity and Inclusion, with particular experience working with underrepresented communities (Preferred). Experience Requirements Minimum 4–7 years of clinical experience (Required). Minimum 1 year with current employer (Credentialing Requirement). 7+ years of clinical experience Preferred. Experience working in a university setting Preferred. License Requirements Current, valid license to practice Psychology in California (or ability to obtain licensure prior to employment). Must maintain CA licensure through the Board of Psychology and UCOP credentialing/privileging standards. Special Conditions Telecommuting/Tele‑Health opportunities (up to two remote days) after probation and as needed based on clinic demand. Occasional work beyond scheduled hours for emergencies, outreach, crisis response, or continuity of care. Minimum Requirements Knowledge and experience working with diverse populations, including African American, Asian American, Latino/Latina, international, first‑generation, veterans, students with disabilities, and LGBTQ. Understanding of intersectionality and its impact on student life. Proficiency in complex diagnosis, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking. Effective interpersonal communication and representation of the department on campus and externally. Capability to conduct complex analysis, develop and present treatment recommendations. Highly effective written and verbal communication skills. Collaborative teamwork with diverse clients, university staff, and faculty. Knowledge of electronic/medical record systems. Demonstrated trauma‑informed therapeutic services. Preferred Qualifications Experience working with college students. Key Responsibilities Provide direct clinical services (individual, couples, group therapy) and crisis intervention, including psychological assessment and treatment plan development (55%). Conduct outreach, education, liaison, committee representation, and consultation services within the UCR campus community (10%). Support and evaluate urgent mental health concerns, provide walk‑in/virtual services, crisis debrief, and post‑vent services (10%). Participate in the UCR CAPS Pre‑Doctoral Psychology Internship Program, including supervision, didactic training, and committee service (10%). Maintain accurate clinical documentation, case management, and compliance with UCR policies (10%). Perform additional duties assigned by CAPS leadership (5%).
