Configuration Management Manager

Ever wanted to build a configuration management programme your way, rather than inherit one that's already been established? We're working with an innovative nuclear technology company developing a first-of-a-kind facility that will produce critical medical isotopes used in healthcare. They're looking for a Configuration Management Manager to take ownership of configuration and design control as the facility progresses through engineering and construction towards operation. This is an opportunity to build, shape and lead a programme with genuine autonomy, rather than simply maintain existing processes. What makes this opportunity different? Build and own the programme. Define the configuration management strategy, establish processes and tools, and take responsibility for how the programme operates. Have real autonomy. You'll have the freedom to identify priorities, make decisions and execute your plans without constant oversight. Lead your own team. Build and develop a team responsible for configuration control, engineering documentation and coordination across the project. Influence the entire project. Work closely with engineering, procurement, construction and operations to ensure design changes are controlled and the facility is built as intended. See your work become reality. Take ownership of configuration management through construction, as-built verification and eventual system turnover to operations. What experience would make you a good fit? You'll ideally bring 8+ years of engineering experience, including exposure to formal configuration management and design control within nuclear, aerospace or another highly regulated industry. You'll also have at least 3 years of leadership experience and be comfortable taking ownership of complex engineering programmes. Experience with nuclear facilities, NRC regulations or major construction projects would be particularly valuable, but isn't essential.
