Join us!Job Description:This job is responsible for performing risk assessment and repayment capacity analysis (i.e., financial, borrower, industry, etc.) and preparing transaction justification for complex transactions with limited supervision for clients in Energy sector. Key responsibilities include documenting credit analysis, independently assessing historic and projected borrower financial information, evaluating adherence to policy and procedure, providing loan structure analysis and recommendations, monitoring portfolio performance and Reserve Based Loan redeterminations.Job expectations include completing regular monitoring and underwriting tasks and supporting key internal stakeholders to achieve successful execution of new transactions. Internal employees who are currently working from home are still eligible to apply. However, if selected for the role, you may be required to work onsite in accordance with the workplace excellence policyPosition can be filled as Credit Analyst II or Credit Underwriter I based on level of experience. Responsibilities:Evaluates credit worthiness and provides analysis and decisioning on whether a client should receive a credit facilityPartners with Credit Officers, Relationship Management, and Risk teammates to assess and deliver credit solutionsMonitors the client's operating performance and financial condition, proactively identifying issues and opportunitiesDelivers financial modeling, loan structure, industry, economic, and other analyses to team members to support the loan decision-making processEnsures adherence to credit policies, guidelines, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirementsRequired Qualifications: 2+ year's of commercial and/or corporate banking credit underwriting–related experience, preferably within a bank or large financial institutionUnderstanding of foundational finance and accounting conceptsProficient written and verbal communication skillsStrong time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple prioritiesProficiency in Excel, including the use of formulas and data analysis toolsDemonstrated experience analyzing corporate financial statements, interpret income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statementsExperience producing analytical written summariesDesired Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in finance, accounting or economics3+ years of commercial and/or corporate banking credit underwriting–related experience, preferably within a bank or large financial institutionExperience underwriting clients in the Energy sector, including upstream Oil & GasSkills:Attention to DetailFinancial AnalysisUnderwritingWritten CommunicationsAnalytical ThinkingCredit Documentation RequirementsCredit and Risk AssessmentFinancial Forecasting and ModelingRecording/Organizing InformationBusiness AcumenCollaborationCollateral ManagementLoan StructuringPrioritizationMinimum Education Requirement: High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalentShift:1st shift (United States of America)Hours Per Week: 40SummaryLocation: Houston; CharlotteType: Full time
