Portfolio Management AssociateThe Portfolio Management Associate supports the ongoing credit risk management and monitoring of a portfolio of commercial loans to operating companies. This role sits within the Capital Finance vertical of the Corporate Finance ecosystem, which focuses on providing traditional commercial banking credit solutions, including asset based and borrowing base structures, to middle market and commercial clients across a range of industries. Our Portfolio Associates are cross-trained across multiple product types, so while this role is anchored in ABL, exposure to other structures (including cash flow lending) is expected over time. The portfolio includes senior secured credit facilities such as revolving lines of credit, asset based and borrowing base facilities, term loans, and other structured commercial lending products. Responsibilities include portfolio surveillance, covenant tracking, borrowing base review, loan review support, client and stakeholder management, and maintaining data integrity across systems, and coordinating with Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, Credit, and Operations to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory expectations.Responsibilities:Monitor assigned commercial loan portfolio for payments, maturities, covenant compliance, and required documentationTrack, escalate, and document covenant breaches, exceptions, and emerging credit risksSupport periodic loan reviews, including financial analysis and risk rating recommendationsAssist with renewals, amendments, waivers, extensions, and ongoing portfolio maintenanceSupport portfolio reporting, stress testing exercises, and audit/regulatory requestsMaintain accurate loan data and ownership in nCino and related systemsIdentify data issues and contribute to process and reporting improvementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fieldMinimum 3+ years of experience in portfolio management, credit analysis, and/or commercial lendingAsset based lending and borrowing base lending experience strongly preferred; candidates with cash flow lending experience will also be consideredWorking knowledge of financial statements, credit agreements, and covenant structures (borrowing base mechanics a plus)Strong Excel skills; experience with credit systems (nCino, Solifi, or similar) preferredHigh attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and ability to manage deadlinesAxos Employee Benefits May Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life InsurancePaid Sick Leave, 3 weeks' Vacation, and Holidays (about 11 a year)HSA or FSA account and other voluntary benefits401(k) Retirement Saving Plan with Employer Match Program and 529 Savings PlanEmployee Mortgage Loan Program and free access to an Axos Bank Account with Self-Directed TradingAbout AxosBorn digital-first, Axos delivers financial tools and services that allow individuals, small businesses, and companies to access and manage their money how, when, and where they want.
