Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in performing thorough evaluations to assess patients' physical capabilities and limitations, ensuring a detailed understanding of their unique conditions.
• Implement treatment plans specifically designed by Physical Therapists to improve patients' mobility, strength, balance, and functional abilities effectively.
• Deliver hands-on manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, and various treatment modalities to address musculoskeletal and neurological issues.
• Collaborate seamlessly with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to coordinate comprehensive patient care aligned with rehabilitation goals.
• Educate patients and their families on effective home exercise routines, adaptive equipment use, and strategies for injury prevention, empowering them in their recovery journey.
• Maintain accurate records of patient progress, treatment interventions, and discharge recommendations according to regulatory standards and our company policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The PTA will work primarily with a diverse population of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, injuries, and chronic conditions. This varies from post-operative rehabilitation following joint replacement surgeries to treatment of sports-related injuries. Emphasizing personalized care, you will be pivotal in executing tailored treatment plans that promote effective healing and recovery.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a CAPTE-Accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program.
• Possession of a valid California PTA License and an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for nurturing patient relationships and collaborating effectively with the healthcare team.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
