The candidate should be customer focused, have strong communication skills, and demonstrates the ability to deliver results.New Product Introduction has responsibility to all aspects of supply chain management; sourcing strategy, negotiation, order placement, and delivery assurance. NPI supports efforts using cutting edge technologies and designs in support of military and commercial next generation engine platforms. This position requires exceptional problem-solving skills & the ability to leverage working relationships across the many P&W functional groups; Quality, Materials, Engineering, MCL, ESA, Regional Offices, Programs and multiple suppliers.The NPI Associate Account Specialist will be responsible for demonstrating the following, including but not limited to:Creating the sourcing slate and coordinating source selectionCreation of Request for Quotes (RFQ)/Request for Proposal's (RFP's), Purchase OrdersEvaluating and coordinating approval of supplier exceptions to Terms & ConditionsCoordinate invoice approvals and payment issue resolutionIdentify supplier strengths & weaknesses to support the strategic sourcing planProactively tracks and manages supplier work in process (WIP), identifies risks to planned delivery, and maintains promise datingMaintains the purchase order as technical definition changes and identifies risks to the quoted price and lead time.Uses the minimum requirements standard work as a competitive advantageUse relevant tools to drive part shortage resolution, and coordinates part shipping and trackingEvaluate risks in the transition from development to low-rate productionEvaluate supplier performance and collaborate with Strategic Sourcing Managers and Account Managers as neededInterpreting Technology and Manufacturing Readiness Levels (TRL & MRL)Evaluating supplier capabilities relative to MRLCoordinating supplier actions relative to MRL progressionCoordinate resolution of quality issues, QN’s, and RCCA for supplier quality escapesIdentify and manage supplier risks to the program industrial planQualifications you must have:Bachelors Degree and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in supply chain, manufacturing, industrial management, or related field; or an advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years' experience.U.S. Citizen - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
