Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (occasional 3:00 PM – 3:00 AM shifts as needed) | Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed | No call required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to patients across all age groups, including cancer, sepsis, medical emergencies, and behavioral health populations
• Deliver care within a facility that includes a cath lab, women's health services, and a dedicated stroke care program
• Participate in STEMI and stroke response protocols in alignment with facility designations
• Document and manage patient care using EPIC EMR
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Complete a compliance EKG exam (up to 2 attempts allowed) prior to independent practice

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — must be in hand at time of submission
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required; first-time travelers are welcome
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• STEMI and Stroke facility experience required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; current driver's license required to verify address
• No open background check cases permitted
• Third-party education verification required; degrees from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list will not be accepted
• Time-off requests must be submitted with the application; no post-submission requests accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for behavioral health patients in an emergency setting
• Familiarity with high-acuity populations including sepsis and oncology-related emergencies
• Prior travel nursing experience in a fast-paced emergency department
