Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-Hour Shifts | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Medical Surgical / Telemetry setting during night shift hours
• Monitor and interpret ECG cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications safely and accurately in accordance with facility protocols
• Complete required orientation assessments including ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate (acceptable score required; maximum of 2 attempts)
• Document and submit hours worked through the designated time-tracking platform
• Complete BCI/FBI fingerprint clearance within 48 hours of contract signing

Required Qualifications

• Active, permanent Ohio RN license or compact state license — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending licenses accepted
• Minimum of 12 months permanent experience in Medical Surgical / Telemetry
• Active AHA BLS and ACLS certifications — must be in hand at time of submission; no pending certifications accepted
• Must be willing to obtain NIHSS certification prior to start date
• One professional reference required from a manager, Assistant Nurse Manager, supervisor, or director in the applicable specialty — must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months (co-worker references will not be accepted)
• No open licensing cases or open background hits; facility does not accept any license hits

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience within a single Med Surg / Telemetry location (combined experience is considered)
• Familiarity with ECG rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring in an acute care environment
• Prior travel nursing experience with compliance-driven health systems
