Project Manager - MEP

POSITION SUMMARYThe MEP Project Manager is the primary leader in the field, and is directly accountable for the safety, financial performance, and the MEP team development on site. The MEP Project Manager will lead the project team in the MEP portions of the project. This position is responsible for providing effective leadership to the MEP project staff and ensuring quality and timely completion of the project. RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate with Project Director and Estimating in development of a Project Chart of AccountsDevelop detailed Project Contract status reportCoordinate with Project Superintendent in development of a project site logistics planMaintain thorough understanding of the McCarthy/Owner contractOversee the pay request processMonitor project costs and Job Cost ReportAnalyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reportsImplement and monitor training of all staff personnelMonitor project laborReview and approve material and equipment needsAssist Estimating in bidding projectsImplement applicable safety, EEO and Affirmative Action programsLead the project’s quality processDevelop, schedule and lead project close-out processesDevelop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors and owners to represent McCarthy core valuesTraining and mentoring MEP team Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering required5+ years of experience with $50M+ in healthcare, commercial, laboratory, higher education, aviation, mission critical construction requiredMechanical, electrical, plumbing experience is strongly desired.Advanced knowledge of MEP construction principles/practices requiredExperienced dealing with subcontracts and subcontractorsExperience leading successful project team, including development of employee and maintaining relationships with external entitiesMcCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.NOTICE TO EXTERNAL SEARCH FIRMS: McCarthy’s Talent Acquisition Team is the only authorized representative permitted to engage with external search firms, staffing agencies, or other third-party recruiting partners.
