LCV is hiring a Graphic Design Intern who will regularly engage with and support the Design Manager in creating marketing materials for the organization’s current and prospective donor audiences. The Graphic Design Intern will collaborate with the entire Development Marketing team, including writers, editors, production stakeholders, and event producers. The Intern will be expected to design a variety of materials including email and web graphics, slide decks, infographics, event materials, and various print materials. The Intern will regularly work hands-on within a team of creatives and event producers to create a variety of materials and content for the organization’s largest event - the annual fundraising gala - which will include experiential design elements, marketing materials, videos, animations, and more. The Graphic Design Intern will also support the Design Manager in asset management for the organization’s photo library, including but not limited to organizing the digital library, sourcing photography and assets for designed materials, and collaborating across departments to generate new leads. The Graphic Design Intern will actively participate in centering racial justice and equity in donor marketing materials, ensuring cultural competence in all content that also reflect the environmental justice priorities of our programs. The Graphic Design Intern will join a Spring 2027 internship cohort that will participate in development opportunities, including a Capstone project, informational interviews with staff, and organization-wide training and discussions. With the support of the Design Manager, the Graphic Design Intern will have the option to use their Capstone to create a design project from concept (creative brief, research, moodboard) to execution (design, iteration) that adheres to the organization’s brand and mission. This position is classified as “ Regular Remote Work ”, which means the position is not assigned to an office and can work remotely full-time. General working conditions: Operate in a professional office or home office environment, and routinely use standard office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, phones, photocopiers, and audiovisual systems. Largely sedentary, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Communicates with internal and external stakeholders using electronic platforms. Intern Will Gain Experience in: Working within an in-house marketing team and collaborating with writers, editors, production stakeholders, and event producers. Creating designed materials for both digital and print – email/web graphics, event invitations, and print materials – as well as experiential materials for events – photo backdrops, on-screen animations, event signage, etc. Adhering to brand guidelines for a suite of sub-brands. Ensuring designed materials meet accessibility standards. Taking ideas from concept through execution (including research, presenting to stakeholders, design, review, and iteration). Asset library management and organization. Actively participating in centering racial justice and equity in all designed materials, ensuring all content also reflects the racial justice and equity goals of the Development Marketing team as well as the environmental justice priorities of our programs. Qualifications: Experience: Required - Graphic Design coursework, work experience, or extracurriculars, etc. Skills: Required - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite specifically Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, shown via a portfolio or work examples; Highly organized; strong attention to detail; excellent written and oral communications skills; strong research skills; exhibits solid judgment; critical thinking skills; able to work independently and as a team; able to handle multiple tasks; self-starter; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Preferred - Experience with Dropbox and Figma.
