Production Supervisor

Job Description

The Production Supervisor will oversee a medium-sized team of 11-25 employees engaged in manual production processes within the animal feed manufacturing sector. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient production scheduling, maintaining stringent quality control, and upholding safety compliance across the production floor. The supervisor will foster a productive team environment, implement process improvements, and occasionally travel between production sites as required.

Responsibilities

Supervise and lead production teams to achieve operational goals
Develop and manage production schedules to meet deadlines
Ensure quality control standards are consistently met
Maintain compliance with all safety regulations and protocols
Oversee inventory management for raw materials and finished products
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency
Provide staff training and development to enhance team performance
Monitor employee performance and provide feedback
Generate regular production and performance reports
Coordinate equipment maintenance to reduce downtime

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years experience in production supervision
High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles
Experience with Quality Assurance and Safety Standards Compliance
Strong team leadership and production planning skills
Effective problem-solving and time management abilities
Excellent communication and conflict resolution skills
