Systems Administrator

Job Summary The Systems Administrator II supports infrastructure across Quanta Fremont’s campus. Responsibilities include maintaining on‑prem and cloud systems, managing network devices, performing system updates, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams. Responsibilities Resolve all system‑related issues in a timely manner. Install software updates and patches on workstations and servers. Maintain an automated reboot schedule and run weekly updates. Align technology changes with organizational expectations and communicate proactively to users. Identify and implement innovative improvements to processes, network delivery, and system solutions. Keep up to date with current networking, systems, and security issues. Maintain anti‑virus software and respond to malware outbreaks. Primary ‘sys admin’ and networking resource, driving automation, security, auditing, and system installation. Communicate quickly and effectively to resolve issues and provide urgent support. Use active listening to understand customer needs and recommend solutions. Work closely with third‑party vendors and provide oversight on projects such as new office builds and directory restructuring. Enter requests into the ticketing system to enable reporting, alerting, and escalation. Collaborate with the broader IT team and provide coverage as needed. Lead networking and sys admin functions across all sites, directing, mentoring, and fostering growth。 Document procedures and keep the documentation accessible to the IT team. Be available off‑hours for scheduled maintenance and emergencies. Provide on‑call remote support during non‑business hours and occasional weekend coverage. Qualifications At least 5years of experience with networking and security fundamentals. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office365 environments (Exchange, OneDrive/SharePoint, Teams). Experience with Azure administration (a plus). Proficiency with Windows Server2019 installation and management on physical and virtual platforms. Broad technical background across networking, systems, infrastructure, cloud technologies, and IT support. Strong PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills. Education & Experience Bachelor of Science preferred or 10years of relevant work experience. Minimum 5years of experience in networking/security and Microsoft365 administration. Azure administration a plus. Salary & Benefits Salary range: $80,000–$100,000 per year, based on location, level, education, training, skills, and experience. Additional compensation may include bonus and equity award programs.
