Financial Analyst

Peerless is seeking a Financial Analyst to provide financial planning budget execution reporting and analysis support for government and corporate programs The successful candidate will assist with funding execution financial data analysis budget planning and process improvement initiatives while ensuring compliance with applicable financial policies regulations and guidance. Key Responsibilities Monitor and report the execution of funds including commitments obligations expenditures and de obligationsGather compile analyze and interpret financial data to develop reports and respond to internal and external data callsPerform financial planning support including development of financial structures processes and strategiesConduct trend analysis using historical financial data to identify costs portfolio performance and opportunities for improvementAssist with budget formulation operating plans and financial forecasting activitiesAllocate funds review expenditures monitor spending trends and resolve financial discrepanciesUtilize ERP systems to track financial activity maintain records and support reporting requirementsReview Defense Travel System DTS travel orders and support travel related financial actionsResearch Unliquidated Obligations ULOs and assist with financial reconciliation effortsCalculate monthly burn rates and prepare labor and expenditure reportsParticipate in financial reviews meetings and working groups to provide recommendations and support decision makingMaintain awareness of changes to financial policies regulations and guidance and advise management accordingly Requirements High School Diploma25 years of financial budgeting accounting or related experienceAdvanced Microsoft Excel skillsExperience with Microsoft Office SuiteExperience working with ERP systemsStrong analytical organizational and communication skillsAbility to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance #J-18808-Ljbffr Peerless Technologies
