Our mission has always been to provide our customers with the highest quality waste, recycling and environmental services, while keeping focus on employee, customer and environmental safety./ppSchedule: Overnight Wednesday to Sunday 6pm to 5am./ph2Essential Job Summary:/h2pOur Diesel Mechanics perform inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment, including diesel heavy trucks and engines. Performs preventive maintenance inspection (PMI); troubleshoots, repairs, and rebuilds major components on vehicles and equipment. Ensures accurate diagnosis and effective repair and/or replacement of component./ph2Essential Job Functions:/h2ulliPerforms all work in accordance with established safety procedures./liliCompletes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times./liliAssists in the repair and adjustment of equipment./liliWashes vehicles and equipment./liliConducts safety checks on vehicles./liliAssists with service calls for breakdowns./liliPerform other maintenance related work as required./liliMaintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards./li/ulh2Requirements and Qualifications:/h2ulli2+ years experience working as a heavy-duty Diesel Mechanic/liliHydraulics experience is highly preferred/liliEngine and transmission maintenance and repairs/liliExperience with diagnostic software such as Premium Tech Tool (Mack), Allison transmission, Cummins, Peterbilt, and Paccar./liliChassis component repairs and maintenance including air brakes system, suspension, drivetrain and steering components./liliMaintain and repair exhaust systems equipped with DPF systems./liliMaintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards./liliAssists with service calls for breakdowns/liliMust be able to provide own tools./liliA valid drivers license is required./li/ulh2Additional Information:/h2pIWS is committed to providing a world class workplace to all employees.
