Dimensional Inspector

2nd shift: 3pm-11:30p

The Role: The Dimensional Inspector ensures the quality of all products produced within the organization meets all internal/external standards by performing product testing and collecting / entering raw data into the specific inspection logs. This individual should have the ability to work as a team, make decisions about the parts they are handling, and work closely with their supervisor to ensure the proper handling of parts and job duties. Being a friendly, self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills is necessary for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects for dimensional accuracy and surface defects by reading blueprints and using

calipers, micrometers, height gage, etc.

• Perform visual and accurate dimensional inspections on parts throughout the manufacturing process to ensure conformance with standards and requirements.
• Complete inspection records and reports and record data accordingly and accurately.
• Identify and report non-conformances. Follow non-conformance procedure and document acceptance after re-work or other approved repairs.
• Ideal candidate(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed, and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.
• Maintain production efficiency levels.
• Communicate, support, and reinforce the values of the organization professionally.
• Work in a team environment and be supportive of all company initiatives.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area.

Job Requirements

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

• 5-10 years of experience; High school degree or GED; or Equivalent years of experience
• Machining / plastic injection molding experience highly desired.
• Understanding formal problem solving is highly beneficial.
• Intermediate level technical ability. Expertise in ERP, Microsoft Windows, and Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with all levels of employees.
• Ability to multi-task and progress several projects simultaneously.
• Must have the ability to read blueprints and use all types of gages and measuring equipment.
• Strong mathematical skills are required.
