Quality Inspector 1st shift

Overview thyssenkrupp Materials Services is a global materials distributor and service provider with around 480 locations in over 40 countries. The company offers a broad service spectrum focused on materials management and supply chain services, with omnichannel access to more than 150,000 products and services and a logistics system designed to support just-in-time or just-in-sequence production. Responsibilities Inspect raw materials and/or parts, audit production practices and processes, and report on non-conformances. Accurately inspect raw materials and products visually, as well as with gauges, scales, or other measurement instruments according to work instructions. Segregate non-conforming parts or material and complete required documentation for work performed. Perform data entry of work results into appropriate databases and perform final inspection to reconcile outgoing shipments, as required. Identify causes of non-conformance when required. Work directly on the warehouse floor around heavy machinery. Qualifications Minimum Requirements : High school diploma or equivalent Ability to read and write English and perform basic math Ability to learn the correct use of basic measurement instruments (tape measure, scales, gauges) Basic computer knowledge to complete data entry Attention to detail and accuracy Ability to accurately inspect basic material, commodities, and/or processes Safety mindset Preferred requirements : Some college courses or certificates in quality assurance related field of study Prior experience using basic measurement instruments Prior experience in a quality assurance inspection position Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and disability coverage Voluntary wellness programs 401(k) and RRSP programs with company match Paid vacation and holidays Tuition reimbursement And more Disclaimer and Equal Opportunity This position has been identified as safety sensitive.
