Being a valued member of the Mechanisms Engineering organization, your responsibilities may include some of the following:

• Work under the direction of other engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop innovative components, assemblies, and/or systems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical rigor and timely delivery.

• Develop, review, and maintain engineering documents, specifications, and technical analyses, including 3D solid models and 2D drawings.

• Be a member of integrated product teams, reciprocally interacting with other engineers, adjacent functions, suppliers, and stakeholders, to support products through the entire engineering lifecycle.

• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and test personnel to support the build and validation of hardware in a production environment.

• Occasional travel.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience with 3D CAD Modeling, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T), have good communication skills (both oral and written), and applied experience with fundamental Mechanical Engineering principles. US citizenship required.

Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems such as instruments, controls, robots, engines, machines and mechanical, thermal hydraulic or heat transfer systems for production, transmission, measurement, and use of energy. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education with commensurate years of professional experience.

• Experience with solid model and drawing creation using 3D computer-aided design software, specification development, vendor interface, parts selection, and/or configuration control.

• Understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories, and concepts.

• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment using good verbal and written communication skills.

• US citizenship is required to perform the task

Desired Skills

• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.

• Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms, and materials.

• Prior experience with the design and/or test of mechanical systems.

• Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $88100.00 - $163700.00

• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
